About Gene Porto
I began my career in the painting industry in 1981, joining my father's painting company shortly after graduating. I worked there until 1996, when I transitioned to the painting department at SAISD. Over the years, I gained experience and expertise, eventually becoming the foreman for the painting, glazing, and carpentry departments in 2011. I held that position for 12 years while also being appointed the role of Facilities Manager.

He has repaired sheetrock, textured over wallpaper to replace the wallpaper with painted walls, matched texture already in place, painted multiple rooms and made many repairs.
